Is writing on your dream list?

Today is a good day to get started on that dream.

Writing takes commitment and consistency. You have to make time to write or it won’t happen.

I’m here today to push you off the fence you’ve been on for a while. How do I know you are on the fence, because I was on that fence too and I had to shove my own self off a couple of times.

I write fiction and non fiction so this month I’m going to offer a few tips on how to start writing, so you can start working on your writing dream.

My first tip is to get a journal or notebook. You want to keep this with you to capture your thoughts because they will flow once you let go of the fear and start writing. You don’t want to have to chase around for some paper to write with. Keep your journal or notebook, close by and you can write when you want to.

Or sit in front of the laptop and WRITE. That’s the best advice I can give you. Don’t think, don’t edit, and don’t worry what others will think about it. WRITE and get it out of your head unto the screen.
I usually start my books on a notepad, that’s how I started writing before laptops, we had typewriters, so I wrote on a pad then transcribed it later. I’ve kept that habit because it works for me.

You find what works for you and DO IT. There is no right or wrong way to write, as long as you write.

The hard part is getting started so get your pen out open the notebook or  turn on the computer and just start writing.

ACTION PLAN:

What should you right about now that’s what you have to decide?

Do you want to write a fiction book? Do you want to write nonfiction book?

FICTION WRITERS

What will your story be about?

What genre are you writing?

Who will it be about?

How long will it?  (Short story, novella, novel)
NON FICTION WRITERS

What will your book be about?

Who are you writing for?
Simple questions but hard answer, take some time today to decide what kind of book you want to write then start writing.

If you need someone to help you create a writing plan, I’m offering 30 minutes for $30 sessions
