If you know me, you know I can’t imagine my life without music. I know there is a soundtrack to my life. My love of music comes from my mother and my father. They both played music and even though my father left my life when I was 7, I still remember music he played on the record player. Yes, I said record player, I don’t know if they even exist anymore.
I bought my first album – Tina Turner Private Dancer and Madonna Like a Virgin in the 80s. I didn’t buy anymore because we were moving to CDs. I loved CDs until we went to MP3.
I listen to music daily and enjoy dancing in the kitchen since I don’t go clubbing anymore. I like that I can carry my music with me vs, having to listen to the radio or carry a MP3. I have my music on my phone and I can just push an app and enjoy.
My children love music too, so I’m glad to be able to pass on my love of music to them.
What role does music play in your life?
