There’s no such thing as a perfect guy, but Xavier Rush comes disastrously close. A gorgeous veterinarian giving Greek god vibes—all while cuddling a tiny kitten? Immediate yes. That is until Xavier opens his mouth and proves that even sculpted gods can say the absolute wrong thing. Like, really wrong. Of course, there’s nothing Samantha loves more than proving an asshole wrong . . . unless, of course, he can admit he made a mistake.
I did it! I turned my Kindle Vella book into an ebook. Today is the release date. For the presale, it debuted as #1 New Release in the Public Relations category. I was excited to see readers buying it before it was released. Promoting a book is hard especially online but I’m excited to see how many new readers I reach. I’m listening to a podcast called Black History Has History. Here’s the link – https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/black-romance-has-a-history/id1754863314?i=1000660715096 It brought back beautiful memories of 1994 and being introduced to Black Romance. My first Black historical romance was Night Song by Beverly Jenkins. I was beyond excited. As a longtime historical romance reader, discovering a book with Black characters was thrilling. I first saw an ad for it in Romantic Times, and I knew I had to have it.

I survived my first week as a published romance author on Kindle Vella. My worse fear – No one would read the book was blown out the water. Readers are reading. My goal for the week – 25 Reads/Thumbs up. Reads – 61 Thumbs Up – 41 Followers – 18 I was pleased with these numbers because as a new author, with no readership. These numbers were the result of my promotion of the book.
