Your promotion calendar is your promotion bible. I’m lost without my calendar. It keeps me moving down my promotion path and it also shows me what I need to do each month and what I’ve done each month.
I use a calendar to maintain my balance. It helps me know what my week is like and it doesn’t let me over book myself or over work myself. I know what I need to do and when.
Make sure your promotion plan you created is on your calendar. Each day see what you have planned for the day. Do the stuff that scares you first.
Tip – Color Pens – The color pens will help your plan stand out to you. Use blue for blog posts, Red for interviews, Black for content creation
Planning Your Calendar
Schedule your personal dates, family dates, vacation dates, writing dates, and promotion dates.
I schedule for 12 months, but I like to work with three months at a time.
Create a calendar that works for you and not beat you up. If you look at your calendar and every day is filled with promotion – no family time, no romance time, no writing time, no friend time. That’s too much. Your calendar should be balanced so you can have a life and be a writer.
Check your calendar daily and complete the tasks you have scheduled.
At the end of the year, look at what you completed and what you didn’t complete.
Ask yourself if you want to add the tasks you didn’t complete to your next year calendar or are they worth completing.
Treat yourself to something nice for all the tasks you completed for the year.
YOU DESERVE IT
