Home   Uncategorized   Building Your Readership Newsletter Issue #1 Is Your Book Promotion Infrastructure Ready?

Welcome to the first issue of Building Your Readership Newsletter.

This newsletter will come out every Wednesday, and I will be sharing tips on how to build your readership.

When I work with clients, I do a mini survey to see if they have the foundation for their book promotion infrastructure.  Rarely do I meet an author who is ready to promote their books.  I believe if you have your book promotion infrastructure in place first, your book promotion will not be a struggle.

Before you start promoting your book, I highly recommend you use what’s below to start building your book promotion infrastructure.

1. Author Website – Create a professional website with information about yourself, your books, and a blog to engage with readers.

2. Social Media – Establish a presence on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Goodreads to connect with your audience.

3. Email List – Start building an email list by offering a newsletter or free content to readers who subscribe. This is a direct way to reach your audience.

4. Book Cover and Blurb – Invest in a captivating book cover and well-written blurb to entice potential readers.

5. Readers – Who are your readers and where do they hang out for buying books?

6. Book Promotion Plan – Plan your book launch carefully, including a launch date, promotional strategies, and marketing materials.

7. Content Marketing – Share valuable content related to your book’s themes, characters, or research on your blog and social media.

8. Promotion Sites – Where can you promote your book?  Find the free/Paid places to promote your book.

9. Interviews – Where can you be interviewed for you book – Podcasts, Radio, Television, Online Magazines and Videos.

10. Events  – What events can you attend to meet new readers and network.

Action steps:

Check out the ones you have.

Create a list of the ones you need.

Schedule time on your calendar so you can work on them.

Tell me what you need to make sure your book promotion infrastructure is solid?
