My Ratings:
The shows I share here will only be the ones I like and recommend watching. I don’t believe in bashing shows because what I don’t like you might love.
I have four rating:
Good – Kept My Interest
Great – I enjoyed it
Loved it – Had me in my feelings
The Best – Made it To My Top Kdrama List
Great – I enjoyed it.
This was a new Kdrama, and it had me in my feelings because it was about the relationship between a father and his family. As a daughter who had a few daddy issues, this had me questions a few things in my own relationship. I did enjoy the romance between the parents and the FL and her boyfriend. Both couples had relationship issues and had to learn how to work through the during the serious. I enjoyed this show, but I don’t think it will be one that I’ll add to my rewatch list. There weren’t many moments that made me want to see them again.
Kiss Points – 7 – Good kisses
(Points: 1 – Surprise Fish Eyes 3 – Sweet Peck 5 – Makes you smile 10 – Makes
Pachinko – Season 1
The hopes and dreams of four generations of a Korean immigrant family, beginning with a story of a forbidden romance that leads to a sweeping saga taking place in Korea, Japan and America.
Great – I enjoyed it.
I decided to watch this show because I kept hearing about. This is not a Kdrama. I’m adding it here because it’s an American drama about a Korean family. The story grabbed me because it went deeper than the historical I was use to watching. This was set in the time when Japan took over Korea and what happen to the Korean people. They had a lot of heartache and pain, but they persevered.
One of the stars of this show is Lee Min Ho and if you’re a Kdrama fan you’ve probably seen a few of his shows. He’s not the good guy in this story. I thought his character was obsessed with the FL who refused to become his mistress.
I will say Lee Min Ho looked good in his suits. I think this made us forget that he was the bad guy. I’m currently looking at season two and will come back and share what I thought on that season.
After watching the show, I ordered the book because I wanted to find out what happened to this family. I’m enjoying the book too learning more the Korean culture. I recommend you read it if you want to read a family saga about a Korean family.
