Most authors think promotion is done once they have released the book. It’s just getting started. Here are a few tips to help you promote your book.

10. Events  – What events can you attend to meet new readers and network. I’ve found one of the best ways to meet new readers is by attending events. Live, online or both, if they have your readers, try to attend as many you can afford to attend. In 2015 I participated in the A-Z blog challenge. It was my first time doing a challenge for blogging, and I decided to have my theme on book promotion. I wanted to write 26 blogs on book promotion. I thought it went well and I ended up taking those 26-blog post and turning them into a coloring book. First day of April I saw a post on my Facebook feed about the A-to-Z challenge and
9. Interviews – Where can you be interviewed for you book – Podcasts, Radio, Television, Online Magazines, and Videos. I’m a huge fan of interviews. Mainly because I published an online magazine – Shades Of Romance for 20 years. I think interviews are an important part of your book promotion infrastructure. Most authors don’t realize they can pitch themselves to magazines, radio shows, tv shows etc. They are usually waiting on someone to invite them.

8. Promotion Sites – Where can you promote your book?  Find the free/paid places to promote your book. There are many sites looking for content to share with their readers, viewers, listeners. You can be the content they share. Pitch your book or services and start promoting to a new audience.
