I’m sorry to say my client and friend Yvonne Hooks passed away after this podcast was recorded. I was heartbroken to hear this news. I met Yvonne when she asked me to help her promote her new books. She shared that she was ready to get all her books into the world and leave a legacy for her children. She inspired me because she was in her 70s and she’d stopped letting fear rule her writing. She had a mission to see her books published and she made it happen. I’m so happy for Yvonne because she was able to publish her books and see her dream come true.
She inspired me to publish my first romance on Kindle Vella. We created our promotion group – Vella Diva, a name Yvonne suggested. I’m thankful for our month together as Vella Divas. We were all able to push each other to reach our first goal of a crown for our books. We continued to encourage each other until the end.
My last conversation with Ms. Yvonne, as I called her, was giving me advice on how to get rid of my covid cough. She was a caring individual and I’m glad I had this kindred spirit in my life for a little time.
My deepest condolences go out to her family, friends, and readers. She was so happy to have readers.
