ChatGTP - Brainstorming

In the coming months I will be chatting with you about ChatGPT.  I believe it’s a good tool for helping you with your writing and marketing. I will be talking more about how I use it for my writing and marketing.  I hope it will be something you can use too.

Each post will include prompts you can use inside ChatGTP.

Today I will be focusing on using it for brainstorming. Brainstorming is one of my favorite things to do when it comes to writing and marketing.  I love coming up with new ideas for manuscripts and marketing.  I’ve found ChatGTP to be a helpful tool when it comes to brainstorming.  It can be your brainstorming partner if you don’t have one.

Here are a few things I use it for brainstorming:

  1. Character development – character profiles
  2. Worldbuilding
  3. Manuscript ideas
  4.  Content creation
  5. Marketing ideas

ChatGTP is all about the prompts.  What are prompts?  They are questions you ask the AI to get it to give you answers. You can create your own prompts or ask ChatGTP to create prompts for you.

For this blog post I asked ChatGPT to give me some brainstorming prompts to help me with my writing and market.  Below are the prompts it came up with.

I recommend you copy and paste these in ChatGTP and see what it gives you.

Writing Prompts

“Help me brainstorm unique character traits for my protagonist. What qualities can make them memorable and relatable to readers?”

“I need ideas for a captivating setting in my story. Can you suggest unique locations or worlds that could serve as a compelling backdrop?”

“Please provide me with ideas for thought-provoking themes or moral dilemmas that I can explore in my writing.”

Marketing Prompts

“Plan a virtual book launch event. How can you make it engaging and interactive for online attendees? What special guests or activities can you incorporate to make it memorable?”

“Design a series of visually appealing quote graphics featuring powerful or thought-provoking lines from your manuscript. How can these graphics be shared on social media to build excitement and create shareable content?”

“Develop a social media content calendar for the month leading up to your book launch. Plan a mix of teaser posts, author Q&A sessions, and behind-the-scenes glimpses. How can you use this calendar to build excitement and engage with your audience?”

How are you using ChatGPT with your brainstorming?
